Enable Loudness Equalization from Control Panel. If it is enabled, disable it.

FOV

Paste what follows in skyrim.ini under the [Display] section: (C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini)

fDefault1stPersonFOV=90 

The following works (in first person) well too for me:

Mods

• get the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE): http://skse.silverlock.org/
• put dlls and .exe into <...>\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim
• get the modmanager: http://skyrimnexus.com/content/modmanager/
• get at least SkyUI for a usable inventory
• Create a file start.cmd in <...>\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

cd <...>\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim 
skse_loader.exe

• Menu: Steam
• Add non steam game to my library
• Browse to <...>\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim and select start.cmd
• In the properties select - via choose icon... - the icon of SkyrimLauncher.exe
• First edit field: Skyrim (SKSF)

Now try to start the game with the extender.
